Moses_burning_bushI think many Christians who attend church from their smaller age are aware of the story of Moses and Burning Bush. It was a life changing encounter for Moses at the age of 80. Moses after escaping from Egypt he was leading his life in exile for 40 years and at that time he has this encounter with God in the form of burning bush. Obviously at first sight he was afraid but he took courage to stand and examine the voice which was coming from burning bush. This story is all in Exodus chapter 3.

So after his first encounter and walk with God, he had moved into an intimate relationship where he used to talk to God face to face as if talking to a close friend. Just examine the scripture in Exodus 33:11 which says "The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp". So for now Moses should have been one of the most luckiest guy who is having a direct access to talk to God. But Moses doesn't stop there he goes on further and just after 5 verses in Exodus 33:18 Moses asks god to show his Glory. Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." - Exodus 33:18

I think many born again Christians even I to have been a born again, baptized or what ever we say can boldly proclaim that we had a sort of peripheral encounter with God or can say a burning bush experience. He saved us most of the time he protected us from many accidents that's why I believe Jesus and so on. But that's not enough we need to have more like Moses even after talking to God face to face he still desires to get something from God, even we too should not be satisfied with few encounters but should have encounter after encounter which only can move you from truth to truth and Glory to Glory. So never let your passion die with few encounters always try to have more and more. Blessed be to the one who gives us encounters of His glorious presence.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? -Psalms 42:2

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. - Isaiah 40:31

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. -2 Corinthians 3:18

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. - 2 Corinthians 4:6
