Lauren Ashley Daigle (born September 9, 1991) is an American singer from Lafayette, Louisiana. Daigle sings contemporary Christian music and is signed to the Centricity Music label. Her single "How Can It Be" hit the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. "How Can It Be" was written by Ingram, Jason, Mabury, Paul, Johnson, Jeff. Her sweet, smoky vocals are infused with spiritual weight on tracks like “Come Alive (Dry Bones),” a spare, Ezekiel 37-inspired call for restoration. This good Southern girl may have been turned away by American Idol, but the honest questioning on tunes like “Now Is Forever” and the wide-eyed wonder of “Wordless” give voice to understated adoration, a new, prayerful brand of praise.

Ashamed of what I've done, what I've become

These hands are dirty

I dare not lift them up to the Holy one

Chorus
G
You plead my cause
C
You right my wrongs
Em
You break my chains
D
You overcome
G
You gave Your life
C
To give me mine
Em                 C
You say that I am free
           G      C
How can it be
           Em     D
How can it be

Verse 2
C           Em      D    G
I've been hiding
C           Em       D       G
Afraid I've let you down, inside I doubt
C               Em      D        G
That You could love me

But in Your eyes there's only grace now

Chorus

Bridge
G         C             D
Though I fall, You can make me new

From this death I will rise with You
G        C             D
Oh the grace reaching out for me
G    C      D
How can it be
